DUCT TAPE CRISES (PLURAL)
Bizzare. There appears to be no California screening for Red Green’s new movie.
Just not the duct tape state I guess.
This whole new American obsession with duct tape is charming to those of us who have lived with it as a way of life for so long.
Breifly skimming the official ready.gov checklist I don’t actually see duct tape there. I’m sure I’ve seen front page articles in reputable American newspapers about the stuff selling out though. Some brand-building maven must be salivating over the adhesive’s ability to claim such enormous peice of people’s head share, with no help from a massive advertising push of any sort.
(no really, “head share”, I’m sure someone gets paid to say that.)
I say “catastrophe readiness”, you say “duct tape”, and no chiat/day ad copy in sight.
Well, that’s just the power of the tape I guess.
The old joke: ‘how is duct tape like the force?’ ‘it has a dark side and a light side and it binds the universe together’
