Someone started a thread in the dpreview.com digital photography forum, spitting on the occupants for addicting him to a hobby he used to despise and billing him over a $1000 worth of equipment in the process. to wit:
41 replies later, someone had dragged Canadian government policy into the discussion.
“First we would have a Royal Senate Commission on DigiPhoto use and abuse in First Canadians.
Then a special tax would be proposed to try and reduce consumption.
The government would at first promise to apply the tax revenue to treatment programs for the afflicted.
Then the money would slip into general revenue.”
