mission statement revision, via Seattle Library
(further to this earlier post about a possible personal mission statement)
A qoute from an article about the crazy new Seattle library, regarding it’s architect, Rem Koolhass:
“He speaks quietly, intently, a work of architecture himself with his tall, angular frame, balding and sculpted head, feet so long and narrow that they seem like angle irons….If this were a movie, he’d be cast to play himself.”
OK, maybe this justifies a personal mission statement update:
If this were a movie, I’d be cast to play myself.
Actually, I don’t think it’s as good as my other one. But it sounds great.
Incidentally, I would love to visit the new library. I’m a big library fan. And this one’s a doozy.
The majority of the library’s nonfiction collection is on the four-level book spiral. Aisles with a gradual slope of about 2 degrees connect the flat tiers of book stacks, creating a continuous ramp winding through the floors.
