After a long and horrible period in which this blog has drifted, useless, like a broken satellite, I have finally figured out how to regain contact and salvage control. So now, if I do not post here, it will be my own damn, non-technical, fault.

The secret was “phpadmin”.

This period of inactivity has given me time to wonder why I write in this thing at all. As expected, nobody really reads it, although from time to time I learn that some people have, and do. But that was never the point, or at least not the most important point. The most important point is that I like to keep in the practice of writing. This practive paid off just yesterday, actually, when I salvaged my combined GRE score by scoring very fairly on the written portion. I hope and expect there are other more useful uses to being able to write reasonably, but if not I still want to do it. Like knowing how to speak Esperanto (which I don’t), it’s something I just want to be able to do, even if it never pays out.

And I enjoy journaling things, but don’t keep a personal journal, and can’t imagine doing so.
