A Simple Model of the Evolution of Simple Models of Evolution

Okay, it’s pretty cynical, but I appreciate the rigour that went into writing and, um, publishing this paper. Not only did the authors channel their negative energy into penning an academic paper, they or their friends apparently begat a new online academic journal for the purpose of publishing it. If everybody bitched this proactively, the world might be no less negative of a place, but it would have higher standards of peer review.
