I totally lied. Here’s Dr. Freeze of CJSW on his attempt to set a record for the most songs played in one hour. Apparently the challenge came from CiTR. I wonder who won?

Most of the show was pre-produced. I spent the week before sequencing and mixing songs together on my computer, separated into four distinctive sets. The first and third sets only featured songs that were shorter than a minute. The second set was the longest, as most of the songs in that one were 1:00-1:29 long. I could have made another “nothing over a minute” set but liked making a slightly longer one just because it gave the opportunity for some variety. That was actually the challenge for me – keeping things engaging.

When djs compete on a quantitative character, qualitative still creeps in.
