Choose Your Dialect of Dewey Defeats Truman

The LA Times has an exhaustive list of election night coverage by the television networks:

Where to tune in on election night

For example,

ABC: The trio of Charles Gibson, Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos kick off coverage at 4 p.m., followed by a special edition of “Nightline” at 11:35 p.m.

CBS: Anchor Katie Couric, along with Bob Schieffer and Jeff Greenfield, report on the results beginning at 4 p.m., followed by a live webcast on CBSNews.com at 11 p.m.

My favourite:

Current: Beginning at 4 p.m., the network will deliver a real-time stream of election updates, Digg stories and Twitter posts, along with live music sets by DJ Diplo.

Anchor Diplo, please adjust your tie.

Hey Mon,
I saw you on my statcounter. What’s a Canadian care about our silly elections? HA!
All y’all need to worry about is if/when we all flood your border!
Speaking of floods, (whenever it looks like I have one on a hook:) I always like to thank Canadians for coming to our rescue in New Orleans despite unbelievable federal intervention by our own government. I was living there for Katrina and that first week of the flood after the Levees Failed.
I know when Love Comes To Town. Thanks Canada.

I really enjoyed scooting around on your blog as I am a failed Geographer (fallback Artist:) I particularly dig the Cloud Forest and that Hog Hoaster site. Been thinking about a hoaster as this Ladder grows and grows. Not there yet but one fine day, these days we clock around 120 hits/day. We will pass our first year this November 11th. Forking Hell Yeah!
I hung you onto our 2nd Line.

I hope you enjoy our Ladder, and any kind of Geo’spacial plugging-in you ever feel inclined to want to do during some of this Heavy Weather we get down here… then Please jump on it and email me.
If you fang back through the post, you will see how we like to hang with eyes having it. Check out the early summer during the MidWestern Floods around June 8th.
I would be interested as well in your take on our post Katrina Carbon footprint, Gulf of Mexico dead zones, the rebuilding of our wetlands, the idea of combining Hockey and American Football, Ani Difranco and anything else that floats yer’boat.
Are you familiar with Ivor van Heerden?

Thanks you,
Editilla~New Orleans Ladder

I seem to live in this weirdo country, and we do have to share a continent after all. What I want to know is, exactly what country does NOLA exist in? It doesn’t quite feel like America down there, and America doesn’t seem to be too preoccupied with New Orleans, either.

My love to the crescent city, and I like to think I’m on any kind of second line right now. Pick me up a po boy at King Roger’s some time.
