good grief, apparently I now have to boycott JetBlue
I guess I can stop boycotting Delta Airlines, because it folded under the pressure of my intense boycotting action. But in addition to the Galileo airline booking session, I now have to boycott stupid JetBlue. Which is difficult, because I never fly with them. But there they go, volunteering to use the CAPPS II system of reporting everything about you and your flight plans to the government so the government can decide if you are a terrorist or not based on wether you travel in a similar way as a terrorist of if you have unpaid parking tickets or god knows what.
Here’s a link that kind of explains it I guess: www.dontspyon.us
So here I go boycottin again. Boycottin boycotting boycottin.

Dear Jet Blue,
OK, I admit, I haven’t flown Jet Blue and probably won’t anytime
soon. So unlike the other airline and airline-related companies that
I’ve had to write this email to before, the fact that I am now
boycotting your airline probably doesn’t make a lick of difference to
you.
So I’m not going to carefully go into all the reasons that I dislike
the CAPPS II program which you are volunteering to participate in. I
won’t bother pointing out that the program looks unlikely to succeed
in stopping terrorists. I won’t rant about how much I resent it that
corporations such as yourselves seem to feel entitled to collect
as much private information about me as you require to pursue your
own poorly reasoned collaborationist cave-ins to Ashcroft and his
staff of wanna-be faschists. I won’t wax unpoetic on the arbitrary,
guilty-until-proven-innocent, non-homogenous-behaviour-punishing,
irresponsible and unaccountable nature of the proposed CAPPS II
system.
I’ll just tell you that yes, for what it’s worth, I’m not setting
foot on a JetBlue gangway let alone a BlueJet or whatever you call
them, until you come to your senses, think about it with your whole
head, get some perspective, and walk straight away from the whole
CAPPS II debacle.
Thanks,
Hugh Stimson
