This is what I get for trying to do web administration when I’m deeply distracted by my main task of looking for grad schools. I have attempted to install the exciting new 2.0 version of the gallery software that backends my photo collection, and have instead succeeded in torpedoing my existing installation. there is no easy fix in sight.

On the other hand, I’m making progress in looking for a place to go to grad school.

So if you’re looking for good news about my personal life, there you go. if you came looking for photos, I’m very sorry.

I did upload just a random fraction of this summer’s photos to flickr.com, so if you’re desperate, go there and search for “treeplanting”. As a stand in, maybe I’ll upload some more there as I have time. While you’re there, have a look around the flickr system, which is very cool.

(there’s a new version of Typepad that came out while I was planting too – but I’ve learned my lesson, I won’t be trying to upgrade the blog until I’ve got a little more focus to spare.)
