Yesterday I was out near Stadium Blvd. and I was passed by a guy in a parka on an old school motor scooter. On the back of the jacket was some gothic text around some kind of dark and angry crest or seal. The text said (I think) Black Knights Scooter Club, Ann Arbor. I’m sure about the Scooter Club and the Ann Arbor.

Today I was walking down William St (coming back from a Bread and Puppet show!) and I was passed by a pack of twelve guys, all buzzsawing away on old school two-stroke scooters. They passed twice. Maybe they were doing loops down Liberty. I dunno.

None of them had a “Black Knights” seal (or any other seal).

Is it possible that there is a notorious scooter gang haunting the night streets of Ann Arbor with their angry gas-oil-mixture-exhaust?

Is it possible there are two?
