7 Years in May

I planted my last and final tree 3 (?) days ago in a farmer’s field south of Valleyview, Alberta. Well over a million of those I’ve done over the last 7 summers, and all but that last day in clearcuts, which are rather the opposite of farmer’s fields. I’m declaring victory and pulling out.

No time for a properly reflective post on that subject as I am now in a state of roadtripping in coastal BC for a few days and the bus leaves as ever shortly. Back in Ontario perhaps the 18th, then packing off to entirely manual-labour free horizons at the University of Michigan (blue an maize forever).

Enough of that, time for enough of something new.
